3 Waves
I received this dream on 2.6.10
"I was at a resort on a west coast (because I could see the sun setting over the ocean). The resort was packed - the deck, the beach, the ocean. I was alone on vacation or retreat. I was talking with other people and saw in the distance three huge tidal waves coming. I started running. People in the deep were ok.
Then the dream changed and I saw another huge wall of water but this time I was on the other side of it, observing it from above as it headed for land.
Then I was talking with people outside and it started raining over me. The sky was blue, sun out, no clouds. I was so happy and excited. I knew it was God. I said, 'maybe it will snow', and it started falling icicles, I could feel them sharp on my skin. Then I said, ' maybe it will gold'. Gold dust started falling! I was so excited"

then this week I came across these two news stories on accident. I feel God is trying to tell me something specifically in reference to the waves but I don't know. Should I have prayed against the earthquake in Chile? I don't know.

Sorry, my computer adapter took a week coming through the mail. I like what you stated... your dream is internally speaking of your self. "People in the deep were ok". It is the people in the deep that are strong against things when they come their way. If you saw 3 title waves that headed toward you violently, it could mean at least two things I see. One, The LORD could be saying let the wave of His Spirit sweep over you and stop running from going deeper in His Spirit. Or you could be about to go though 3 turmoil's in your life at the time of this dream. They could be test, or something you open the door to the enemy to attack you. Repenting for any wrong should pull the enemies license from attack you. Hope this helps.

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. Not sure if it resonates but I'm open to it. Dreams can frequently symbolic as much as they are literal foretelling. Funny thing is that 15 min ago, as I was sitting outside starbucks on my computer, it literally started raining - no rain clouds over hear and a big blue sky! Ok God...now what?! :)

Dreams are usually symbolic and symbols can have positive or negative meaning so it is important to look at the context first, what is going on in the dream, then interpret the symbols. I am seeing the tidal waves as spiritual because of what else is going on in your dream. There is some wordplay in here too. I think the resort/retreat is symbolic of lots of people (and possibly the church) in retreat, hanging out at the beach goofing off. So the Lord is giving you his perspective both in that you are seeing that something is coming in the distance as well as from above (God's view) of the wave heading for shore. People in the DEEP are ok, which could mean the water is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. 3 is also the number of the trinity so I'm leaning toward 3 waves of the Holy Spirit. He is showing you this for a reason.
Are you involved in evangelism? Or called to it? You're talking to people "outside" which is usually symbolic of that. And he is sending the refreshing rain of the Holy Spirit as you are doing it...sun's out (The Son, Jesus is with you), blue sky (revelation), no clouds (open heaven). You knew it was God, you were excited about it! You might get some opposition (icy attitudes), but not to worry, you'll be covered in his glory!
Pray and toss if it doesn't fit.

Thank you Lisa. I agree. Funny thing is that when I originally posted this, my wife and I were praying about starting a ministry. Something inside really agrees with what you saw in regards to evangelism. I would ask that you would remember me in your prayers concerning this and that I would be obedient as the Lord directs.
I definitely need to go in "deep" with the Lord to receive more wisdom and understanding concerning the waves.
