I know our pages tell a lot about who we are, but there's also a lot they don't say. So, to act as an icebreaker...

Tell us a little about yourself! :)

Ann Marie, I read your post...the bit about being where terrorists are...And noticed the date posted Sept 11!  Obviously a jolting date for us in the USA!  However the year isn't the same.  You must have an incredible nack for this type of timing??? ;)  And I'm thinking maybe you ought to sign up for our homeland security?!  :)  I live in southern CA & we experience fires all the time in the summer, so we could use your hubby's expertise as well!  Perhaps, next time you're contemplating 'a mission' you'll head out my way!?!  Not exactly advise here on how to best get plugged into studies...but sometimes, friendship & humor--God's most precious gifts we can share, may unlock something & you'll find inspiration!?  Debbie

This is my first time using a social network. I've had alot of invites to facebook from friends family; wasn't sure I wanted to use my time this way, but when I saw the article in the July CLU newsletter about a Christian site I thought I'd give it a try. At that time I was in the hospital with our premature daughter. We have been home for three months now, and I can squeek a moment in here or there.

We have three children 21, 16, and 5 months. I like the outdoors; especially gardening. I also like to scrapbook, quilt and bead, and would enjoy learning more about photography. I like to take natures supplies and make something beautiful.

Hi my name is Laurie Leiding. I'm new to this network and not quite sure how this works yet. So please forgive me if I'm not doing this right. I started at CLU in May/June of last year and love every minute of it! I was working on a degree in Christian Counseling but I believe God has called me into Ministry. I'm now working towards a degree in Ministry. I'm from British Columbia, Canada, re-married and have a 8 year old daughter and two wonderful teen step-daughters. I became a Christian 2 years 8 months ago.

Hi Laurie, since you're new I'm writing to let you know of the CLU chats held every Thursday eve, by Dr. K.  They begin at 6PM PST, so you'd have to figure out what time that would be at your end, but I'm sure you'd find it a great networking tool to make yourself more at home within CLU family.  I actually am a Christian counselor through CLU myself...& I'm working towards my master's--though that seems to be S L O W Going, as I'm vested in making my nonprop work.  Anyway, I hope to see you there 1 eve???  [I try to make it at least 2x a month]  Blessings on your endeavors!  Debbie

Thanks Debbie! I will check this out!

Blessings to you as well!

Laurie

Nice, I'll add to this discussion,

I'm K.Santosh from Bangalore, India. I'm just a believer, I don't belong to any church, but I just attend services at FGAG where I got touched by the Holy Spirit, all by God's grace, to send to His Helper to me. Since then, I felt awkward and that I did not belong in this world. That I'm different from people around me. From where I'm from, Christianity is pretty rare. Although there are christians, they don't believe in the Holy Spirit's gifting and stuff like that.

It pretty annoying to hear praises of other gods echoing from loud speakers near my house and the places that I go. I know all these blasphemies would end when Jesus Christ comes back. This social networking site, makes me feel like home! :) :).
