A River in the Middle East

I had a dream this morning that was incredible and awful! In my dream I was standing in a river in the Middle East. The worst part wasn't standing in the river but that I was standing in the midst of dead bodies! Bodies of men and women whom were all wearing traditional Islamic dress. I was just standing there in the midst of them and they were all flowing up the river, going uphill! At the top of the hill were dozens of men pushing the bodies down the river so that the bodies could be moved. All of a sudden, I felt someone tugging at me and it was a woman! I pulled her up and took her out of the river and set her upon a chair/lounger. I noticed that when she came up out of the water she had on a fairly big Gothic cross and a very light blue dress with a rounded neck so that the cross looked huge against her chest. Her eyes were a very light blue but cloudy and she spoke blasphemy about the men that had died and that they deserved their punishment because of the whordoms that they had committed with her.

As I was dreaming this, my husband woke me up because it was time to start the day but I fell back to sleep and went back into the dream. As I went back to dreaming, I noticed that the sun was rising and it was a new day and I sensed the Lord saying that a new day is dawning and that the old is coming to an end and a new season is coming to the Middle East, many have died because of many deceptions caused by the enemy but that those days are coming to their end. Satan and his minions are very angry and are going to try and kill as many as they can.

I just wonder about the cross she was wearing and why she seemed so awful and hateful towards these people, I was perplexed because she was wearing a cross and I thought that when I pulled her out of the water that she was a Christian.

Do you think the woman might have represented a judgemental aspect of the church or a religious spirit?

My friend Pauline Burthwick said the same thing. I believe that a new day is dawning and God's ways will be shown across the earth by the true church, the church whose head belongs to our Lord Jesus.

I would have to agree with Dennis on what the woman represents. Notice how her eyes were cloudy. She wasn't seeing clearly. And the gothic cross; I looked up the word "gothic" on the computer and found this definition: A barbarous or crude manner. I then looked up "barbarous" and got: savagely cruel or harsh; and "crude" means: lacking in intellectual subtlety, perceptivity, etc.; rudimentary; undeveloped. So, basically the gothic cross points to the same thing (A religious sign that lacks God's grace and forgiveness and His desire that none should perish. It points to a church that hasn't looked at the people of Islamic religion as people who are lost and in need of a savior, but rather desiring God's wrath to come on them quickly and get what they have deserved for the persecution they are responsible for toward Christians. How wonderful that a new day is coming! Lord help us to see clearly!

Hmmm, I've always associated Rivers with the Holy Spirit, (mostly because I think of the river flowing down from the throne of heaven).

You noticed the cross and her clouded eyes as she came up out of the water which reminded me of 'the baptism of water'. Perhaps, your dream is prayer strategy and the need to be prepared for the harvest that's coming, bringing with them thier pre-concieved ideas about 'the church'.

Just some thoughts I had anyway.

I wondered if the bodies were flowing against the flow of the river itself [as if to symbolize that all this death is happening in opposition to the flow of God's Spirit].
