Koinonia Network

An International Fellowship of Spirit-Empowered Believers

I am a missionary with Youth With A Mission in South Africa. Every Wednesday, we have intercession time.

The other day, two of our staffs member have lost their relative and as a base/group we have decided to collect money to help them. My wife and I did not have money but I felt that we should trust God for a specific amount to give. I prayed and 100 Rand came to my mind. It was confirmed as my wife Gabryella come to me and said the same amount. And so we wrote our pledge of 100 Rand out of faith. We waited for the whole day and the money did not come. At the evening before the office closed, we had to go to the office and cancel ourpledge :o(

The next day at noon, some money came to our account and I ran to the ATM to withdraw cash and give the R100 to the office. I somehow felt that this was not the money the Lord promised to give the day before but I decided to give anyway.

As I left the office, the receptionist called me and apologizes for a donation given to me 5 months earlier when my father passed away. For some reason she kept forgetting about it. In the envelop was 100 Rand.

God does not ask us to do something then try to find a way to provide. He asks us to do something after He has ALREADY provided – in this case 5 months earlier.
