(1.) What was going on in your life day before the dream? - Had supper with relatives and heard a surprising remark towards me.
(2.) Key emotion upon waking? - neutral
(3.) Key action of the dream? - participating
(4.) Setting of the dream? - In a building perhaps a business
(5.) Emotional setting in waking life? - shocked at the discovery of relatives true feelings

I was in a room with other people who were waiting to go into a meeting in the boardroom. A woman (never met in real life) said to me that she was going to tell the boss that I was from a certain realtor's office and that I was there visiting that day. I was uncomfortable with this as it wasn't the truth. However I followed her into the room. Once we stepped into the room we found seats at the back of the room. I noticed that everyone was sitting in a circle around the entire outside of the room.

Before the meeting started I got up and told this woman that I wasn't comfortable with what she was going to say to her boss as it wasn't the truth. She followed me outside the room.

Next Scene:

The boss and his wife are standing in front of me and I introduced myself and told him who I was and why I was there and asked permission to sit in on the board meeting. He laughed and said "of course".

I feel I have some insight, however welcome any of your thoughts!

Hi Karyn,

Just really quick, I found it interesting that everyone sat on the outside of the circle. Was this a rather a large cirlce, instead of close knit? It sounds like you were sitting outside and behind the circle of people correct?
Sounds like everyone is waiting and wanting in the "boardroom"/throne room.

I would appreciate any feed back to help improve my skills in asking poignant questions? By your replies I can see you have that skill mastered.

Thanks Anna
Hi Anna,
yes very good questions!
A bit of background information for you:
In my heart I believe I am called to ministry and have functioned there in both a paid and non-paid positions for the past 25 years. Throughout that time i had experienced some disappointments and set backs which I believe are all apart of the journey…the Lord’s purifying and moulding us to be able to stand with authority in places of responsibility.

The night before the dream we had supper with a close relative that I thought supported my vision and ministry, only to find out that he actually doesn’t. He comes from a traditional background and believes women should be involved in whatever their husband is called to.
This conversation shook me up a bit as I have always respected him as an elder and had no idea of his true opinion until this conversation... [a scripture that is really important to me is from Psalms 51:6 (AMP) Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost]

That night I had this dream of the boardroom:
The boardroom is a place of decision making...that place i believe is in my soul (heart and mind)...the place where i make decisions. The woman who was with me was trying to get me to lie about why I was there so that I could fit in and be allowed in that meeting…this represented that part of me that likes to please people, to keep the peace…the stronger part of me said no way, I won’t be apart of that lie, I know the truth and I can’t be involved in this meeting under pre-tenses.
I later faced the owner and his wife…confrontation has not always been a strong area for me so it was a relief that the conversation with him went so well, in fact his causal manner represented favour to me and his wife represented “second” witness (in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses it shall be established).
Upon waking I felt like I knew the truth in my heart and it’s been established…I don’t have to lie or try to persuade anyone else who happens to think differently!

Incidentally when I prayed about this conversation with this relative and how disappointed I was upon hearing this new information the Lord spoke to me and said, “it doesn’t change a thing!”, My destiny has been already decided upon and the gifts and calls are without repentance. The second thing the lord said was, “now you know”. Referring to this relatives’ true opinions towards me.
I believe you are on the right track with your questions! If you have any other insight I’d love to hear it! Thanks for taking the time for helping me with this process!

Hi Karyn,

Thanks for allowing me to offer up my questions.
I find it interesting that the shape in which the people sat around was a circle.
A circle means to me completeness "circle of trust" as in a movie :)
And you were on the outside of the circle.
As you stated in the beginning you felt surprised by the comment of a close relative.
Hi Anna,

yes i think the circle was for the conveneince of the meeting...the thing that i relate to the most is that in my previous employement at my church we use to have ministry staff meetings and we were postioned the same way in our meetings...so the feeling i can relate to is familar...however in the dream i'm not comfortable being there under pretenses!

Thanks Ann...you've got me thinking again!
