I have a decision to make and would really appreciate prayer as I feel like I am getting conflicting answers. Thanks.

Father, I pray for Lisa right now and I thank you that you are her Wonderful Counselor. I ask you in this moment to speak your direction and plans into her heart. I thank you that Your word promises that if we will trust in you with our whole heart and lean not on our own understanding you will direct our paths. Lord, God I know from my own experience with you recently that you stand strong on your word and your promises. I thank you that as Lisa continues to still herself before you and seek your guidance you will lead her. I thank you for my sister and I stand with her in this time expecting you to give her clear direction and guidance. In Jesus name Amen.
"lean not on our own understanding"

The thing that I think he is asking me to do completely flies in the face of reason...and conventional wisdom...and most people's opinions. Normally, I don't have a problem being out of the box, the black sheep, the nonconfirmist. But when it comes to this one thing...why is it so difficult? What if I am wrong?
The first question I would ask you is "Does it conform to God's word and His Character?
It's more of a social norm or custom than a doctrinal issue.
Have you asked Him to confirm it in some way so that you will know for sure it is Him? I've done that many times when I'm unsure and I have gotten great results that way.
Actually, it's funny that you mention that. A friend helped me see that there really isn't a conflict in what I heard. It's more like a "Here's what I want you to do, now wait for the anointing to do it." So, that will be the "confirmation." But I spose it couldn't hurt to ask for the kind of confirmation you have in mind.
Good, well I hope everything works out for you and this situation brings you to a higher level. He seems to amaze me most when we step out in faith especially at times when it seems illogical to do what was asked.
I got some scripture that confirmed the "wait"...rest, don't work.
Very cool! Praise God!! He is so awesome.
