Discovering the dream Jesus has for me

Recently I asked the Lord what is His dream for me.  It was totally not what I expected to hear, but it sure is beautiful.  It's because of this dream I've released my goals and now focus my days on living out His dream for me:

Dear Jesus! I’m feeling so...heavy right now.  So many concerns and thoughts and stuff running through my mind.  I don’t know where to start with stuff.  Please help.  What would you say to me right now?
“Lori, relax.  I’ve never left you.  Remember I’m Emmanuel.  Just lean into my peace, my joy and bask in it.”

You know what I feel like doing right now?
“Yes, but tell me anyway.”

I feel like dreaming with you! I feel like seeing my big, bright wonderful future with you and the things you want to accomplish through me.  Will you dream with me right now?

“Of course! Lori my dream for you is for you to be abundantly filled and fulfilled.  You awaken and greet your day with joy and excitement and anticipation of what’s going to happen.  You’re not stressed because you’ve reminded yourself that I’m with you.  We walk heart to heart in your day.  You listen for my voice, you ask me about EVERYTHING and we fellowship.  We talk, we laugh, we love.  You have shortcomings but they don’t overshadow our love walk.  You know you’re loved, forgiven and accepted.  All is well with you.  You attack your responsibilities with fervor and pleasure.  No matter what happens to you, you know you can handle anything.  Where you are is where you’re supposed to be.  You are content with your moments.  You are not anxious for anything and everything.  You know I’m taking care of your dreams and hopes because I’ve planted them there.  I didn’t give you these inner visions that stir your soul and move your heart and would not let you experience it.  You are content to just be, because where you are is where you’re supposed to be.  You know I’m opening doors and guiding you to walk right on through them.  I have your heart.  You have My ear.  Anything and everything you ask the Father for in My name is an automatic done deal.  You want for nothing.  You are complete and whole in Me and you love it.  You are living a satisfied complete abundant life.  That’s what I dream for you.”

Wow.  You know, that’s not exactly what I had in mind.  You know I’d rather hear you say how you see me on stages speaking and singing to thousands and hundreds of thousands and making multiple 7 figures!
“I know.  That’s YOUR dream.  But once you lay down that dream for mine, all that stuff is yours anyway.  I’ll give you everything you want, because I know I can trust you with it.  If you stop seeking stuff and pursue Me, you’ll get the stuff.”

Lord, how can I move past this surface, soulish desire for things.  My heart does cry out for you.  I want a passionate relationship with you! I want to feel you, to know you, love you and trust you! What can I do to get a deeper fellowship and communion with you?

“Lori, you’re in the right place, at the right time.  You’re right in my divine timing.  I see you searching.  I’ve seen you grab the counterfeit because it seemed easier and more accessible.  And now that you’re here, now that you’re ready to be taught and to learn of Me, I’m going to pour into you secrets, strategies, ideas, inventions, love, instructions, direction and guidance.  Don’t be in such a hurry to leave this place right here.  We’re just getting started.  Don’t move so fast.  Date me.  Get to know me again.  Learn to fall in love with me.  Right now you’re infatuated.  It’s the shine, the glitter of this new way we’re connecting. But you’ll need to stay here a while in order to appreciate the next level.  I do love you Lori.  I’m so glad you’re here with me.”

This was so comforting to me since I am a passionate driven speaker, singer and entreprenuer!! My vision boards, goal cards, affirmations, faith confessions, etc...all that stuff feels so meaningless (not to mention overwhelming!) now that I know the Lord's dream for me!
