Koinonia Network

An International Fellowship of Spirit-Empowered Believers

Folks,
We chose Koinonia Network, because it is a Greek word which stands for
fellowship, which is what we want this website to be. We want it to be a
place where people can share their lives in the Lord, and tell of the
wonderful things the Holy Spirit is doing in their lives, and thus
inspire one another and be a witness to the living Lord among us.

However, Koinonia is a hard word for people to spell and pronounce, so
we are wondering if it would be wiser if we went with KNFellowship.org.

It would stand for Koinonia Network Fellowship, but we could call it KN,
and explain it to others as KN Fellowship.

Thank you all for your feedback. You can see the results here. I have now closed this discussion thread.

KN sounds great! Love the simplicity!
Words are powerful. My thought is that even though you are trying to make this easier, by going with KNFellowship, you just lost something. I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of someone trying to find your website. I know myself, my school went through your 'How to hear from God' program. If I was familiar with your program in any way, I would find myself googling Mark Virkler or any title to your books and go from there. It would not be the very word Koinonia I would be googling. However, there must be a reason why you think it would be a good idea to change. I don't know all the facts that surround this. Maybe I would go back to the time when you came up with the original name and write down all the reasons you went with it to begin with and see if that has really changed. OR maybe there is another Greek word for Fellowship. Just my one cent. Blessings to you.
Any thing that will simplify life suits me. I vote for a change to KN.
KNF network or KNF Fellowship both sounds OK
I agree with Deborah Patton although KN is easier it does not have the same impact as Koinonia just my thoughts

No, I think it would be a real shame to change to just letters. OK, so it's hard to spell, maybe; but once you have it on favourites it's not really hard to find!! And it's good for people to know it's community/fellowhsip. KN could stand for anything. Words have power, let's keep it. Would be good if the website was more user-friendly, but the name is perfect.

Sounds good to me!
kn sounds fine....the shorter the better..
I have been meaning to look up the meaning of Koinonia, and am glad to learn its meaning. Personally, I have not had difficulty pronouncing Koinonia. The two names “Koinonia Network” feels good, sounds good to me—it has a connected feeling. I am not a real fan of initials; I think it would be more difficult to remember KNFellowship than Koinonia Network. I would vote for keeping Koinonia Network, but will be happy with whatever the majority rules. : )
Once you've typed it a few times Koinonia is gets easier and easier. It's the meaning of it, that should not get lost for convienence.
Koinonia: partnership, participation, communion ~ much more richer and it is important to me that I am always learning and experiencing more. So because of the richness of Koinonia, my desire is it remains.
I would think that if a discussion has arrived that indicates a name might need changing then it sounds to me like it is a good idea and KN Fellowship is definitely easier, so I would give a yes
