Overcoming Blocks In Seeing God

Through Communion With God I learned how to hear God's voice and see visions when I was 13, and I have boxes filled with prayer journals. It came so naturally to me. But within the past year, it has seemed impossible to come into God's presence and feel His love like I used to. I've struggled with anxiety and depression, I long to see Jesus and feel His overwhelming love wash over me like I used to. When I sit down in my room to talk to Jesus, I end up crying my eyes out, waiting, and then being so emotionally exhausted that I don't receive and I feel worse than when I came. I tried to take some CLU courses last year but I couldn't focus because of what was going on inside of me. How do I get my breakthrough and come to Jesus without getting so overwhelmed that I can't see Him anymore?

Praise God in all circumstances. Ask the Lord for His forgiveness and for His cleansing blood upon you by reading Psalm 51. Be transparent and repent before Him. Bind all the powers of darkness, the principalities, demons and the hosts, in Jesus name. Ask the Lord for His precious blood upon you. Fast and pray, especially early in the morning. Ask, seek and knock. Quieten your heart and invite Jesus through prayer and meditation of His word. He will come to you!

I know it sounds like a lot, but it can be easily done. God bless you and may your relationship with Him be renewed and restored! Amen!

I had to go through a similar time myself, and got out of it. I am still not sure why I had to endure this, but in the end I had the feeling that it strengthened my faith. It could very well be that you are experiencing the same right now, and that your faith will be much stronger once you have made it through this!

Hey there Sister in Christ,

God has already blessed you with everything in Christ Jesus! I hope I'm not too late in sharing this revelation or understanding that I've receive from God through my study of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the many messages I've heard on it.

The First and the Foremost thing, You must be clear about this :

God's Love is unchanging, His love is NOT MERITED, or graded based on what people do. Its UNMERITED, its free and its shown in full measure to ALL believer's in Christ, forever. None of our actions can change that. God is Love. :) Honestly do you believe that each time you approach Him? That changes your thoughts every time :).

If not remember this, God gave up His very Best, of all He had, His only begotten Son, for us, to save us. That shows how much He loves us :), even while we never deserved it.

And the meaning of the word 'Repent' in the greek, "Change your mind", its in the Amplified Bible too.

And Jesus Christ did a perfect work on the Cross, that every sin we have committed and will commit, was paid for in full, that the full wrath of God was absorbed in Jesus Christ's Body on Cross for our sins.

So, God is no longer angry with His people because their sins. So when we approach God, every angle He turns us He sees the perfect work of His Son Jesus Christ, that there is not a single element worthy of Judgement from God for our sins, for Jesus Christ finished His work perfectly.

So, 1) God's Loves you anyway.

2) God never rejects us when we come to Him.

3) We are perfected forever by the work of Jesus Christ! We don't have to do anything more to receive approval from God, we only need to go to Him through faith in Jesus Christ's works and not by our righteousness. He has fulfilled every requirement on your behalf, so that you can approach God and receive anything you may ask Him for, by His work on the Cross . He has done it all!

So, Can you clearly see the enemy attacking you at this point? You have actually escalated to a new level in the Spirit. you need to use the authority that He has given you and rebuke the devil with it. "Resist the devil and he will flee from you". You are the Beloved daughter of God in Christ Jesus, always remember your identity in Christ, for satan always questioned Jesus's identity when he tempted Him in the wilderness. And be more Jesus conscience, by that I mean, Practice His presence, Acknowledge His presence every where you go, even if you don't feel it, He is right there with You. Focus on Him more.

And I have also have some notes on the blockers, by Mignon of Glory Reign Ministries, since you mention anxiety and depression. She said that its a blocker to hearing God's voice, and she said, King David, suffered the same thing, and what he did was this.

1) he openly talked about his worries and anxieties to God.

2) he CHOSE to CHANGE his anxious thoughts, and started reassuring himself resting on His promises.

Cast you cares unto the Lord, who He cares for you :)

I am having a problem also be it a different one. I NEVER Journaled when I was younger like you did.

I am 31 and want to tell a little or ALOT about me to "possibly" help out.

I'm 31 (again), married (11 years), 2 kids both girls (11 & 6). I was in the Military from 2000-2008 I was a Military Cop and Anti-Terrorism Officer. I was injured while on active duty and medically retired (2008) and was physically and mentally not well off. I believed in God but NEVER really prayed to him unless something really bad happened and then like anyone else "I went oh lord help me why would you let this happen to me".

Well August of 2010 came around and I got saved and accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and Lord. I immediately started reading books about how you know you have the holy spirit and talking to god and found 4 keys to hearing Gods voice or communion with God.

I have the Ten (10) Disc audio CD's and the workbook. Went through both and during each exercise to try and talk and hear and see Jesus I never once did it. I finished the workbook and still try frequently to quiet myself down and fix my eyes on Jesus amd tu e to spontenaety or flow and journal.

I get as quiet as I can (at least I am thinking of nothing and as quiet as I ever have been) when I fix my eyes o. Jesus I see NOTHING but blackness and no Lord. Then tuning to flow ihave NEVER Heard the Holy Spirit speak to me through flow, audible voice or anything. So therefore I can't write what I don't hear or see.

I don't know what I am doing wrong and or how to tune to flow and fix my eyes on Jesus when I don't know what he looks like. Also when people are fixing there eyes on Jesus and seeing him aren't there eyes closed? How then do they write in the lines in there journal amd if he is talking so much how do you write everything so fast?

I wish someone would film themselves Journaling so we that have problems can see how someone does it. Eyes open or closed how to see Jesus or hear the thoughts or flow of the lord/holy spirit.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATTED!

Thank you K. Santosh so much for your insight! Everything you said is a confirmation to what God has been telling me lately. I had been walking in condemnation, trying to be good enough like you said and trying to "get into" God's presence, and God gave me a vision of what Jesus did on the cross ripping the door down between me and him: I've had full access to Him this whole time, I just wasn't able to enter because I didn't believe I could. And what you said about escalating to a new level in the Spirit was dead-on. This whole thing actually started after God spoke a HUGE prophetic word into my life; I was going through the process to get there. I really like what you said about David struggling with depression, I'll keep that in mind when I'm tempted to fall into this again. Thank you again, what you said blessed me!

Wow, congratulations on the prophetic word that you have received. :D. Btw, I was only following what the Holy Spirit was impressing on my heart when I saw this discussion. Well, I would greatly encourage you to watch Pastor Joseph Prince's messages, on the gospel of grace, personally I don't feel that his messages are false or fabricated, I don't think anyone can reveal that much about Jesus Christ from the Bible, both in the New testament and Old Testament, unless the Holy Spirit reveals it to him, for the Holy Spirit came to glorify Jesus Christ. Besides that, the gospel of grace completely seals the mouth of the devil real tight! he cannot accuse you ever again! for it is this truth that completely disarms him!
