This isn't about a journal entry, but something that just popped into my mind in the middle of a very deep prayer. It surprised me, and was very strong. I wanted to know if it was the Holy Spirit or not.
I won't give a detailed history, but I will try to give the background of this so you all will understand the situation. When I met my husband, he was very close to his sister and his aunt. So close that his sister lived with him and his aunt practically ran his life. He took all her advice, sought out her opinion, and tried to make them both happy at all times. That was, until he met me.
When we started dating, and he began spending time with me and not "tooting" to them, I came under a severe attack from them both. They told him lies, they tried to set it up so we would argue, they started a smear campain throughout his entire family that I still deal with to this day (almost 8 years later). I could not understand why, or what was going on. My husband and I both believed in Jesus Christ and talked about things all the time. Then I found out that both his sister and his aunt were involved in a cult.
Needless to say that explained alot as to how they could be so hateful. His aunt is the "Hight Priestess" of this cult. I have had nothing but spritual warfare dealing with this ever since. I have tried to witness to them, but it is met with hostility to the point that I can feel the evil in the air. I chose to stay away from them, which is difficult because they are part of my husbands family.
Now here is what came to me in the middle of my prayer to the Lord:
"The curse that was sent to you has returned to Candy tenfold." (Candy is my husband's aunt's name.)
I was shocked and taken way back when that came to me. Here is why:
Joe's aunt just recently found out that she has a very rare brain tumor that is usually fatal within a few years. But there's more to it than that. I remember when I first found out about their involvement in this cult hearing a story. His sister was going around bragging, literally bragging, about the fact that her group had put a curse on some man that was a part of this cult because they were angry with him about something. She was bragging because she just found out that he had a very rare tumor in his brain! The man died a while later.
I know that the pure hatred for me that they have would warrent them trying to curse me. I was very rattled to hear this in my prayer. I also know that I am protected by the blood of Jesus Christ my Lord and no weapon formed against me shall prevail!!! Praise God!!!
If anyone has any insight on this, I would love to hear it. The power and grace of Jesus is mighty. Thank you all.

I can share a story with you that happened to me not too long after I was saved. We bought a farm, and decided to divide it up, and put a mobile home on it to rent, to help pay for it. The neighbor on one side found out about our intentions, and was not happy about it, he tried to buy the lot from us, but we would not sell, because it was bought for income. We bought a mobile home and put it on the lot, and it burned that night. It was not hooked up, so there was nothing that could have caused the fire except for arson.
The fire dept woke us up in the middle of the night, to tell us about the fire. It upset me terrribly, because I knew that it was not an accident, and I went to the Lord in prayer about it. He quickened a scripture to me, that said: I will deal shrewdly with those who dealt deviously, and because your hands are clean (meaning that we had nothing to do with the fire) I will recompance.
The neighbor who tried to buy the property soon had a stroke, from which he never recovered. He had to be cared for the rest of his days.And the insurance company paid us for the trailer. We bought another trailer and put it there, and had no more trouble.
Another situation that happened concerned a relative who was dabbling into witchcraft and my sister seemed to be affected by it, even though she had nothing to do with it. We thought that this woman was somehow sending curses, so one day as we were praying, we decided to send the curse back where it came from, and multiply its power. It was not long before this relative came down with the same thing that had affected my sister, only her situation was worse.
When a person receives the blood of Jesus Christ, as atonement for his/her sins, and trusts totally in him, he watches over them very carefully, and he does not take it lightly when someone comes against them. You do not hear stuff like this talked about, but, I lived it, and if the world really knew who this Jesus is, that we talk about and what he is truly like, they would run to him for the salvation that he offers.
He tells us to trust him, and to not do anything to someone who comes against us, but forgive that person,. He says that vengence belongs to him, and he will repay. He knows everything about that person, how he/she has lived their lives, and whether or not they have accepted his offer of salvation, and he knows exactly how he wants to handle the situation. All we have to do is trust him.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. You are exactly right! If the world truly knew what the Lord Jesus was like, and how the enemy works in the spiritual realm, they would run to Him for his salvation and His loving protection.
You are right, it isn't common to talk about this sort of thing. But the spiritual world is just as real as ours. Perhaps even more so, for the things of this world shall pass away, but the spiritual will not. After all, God Our Father is spirit. I think if more christians understood these things, they would fall at the feet of Jesus and hold on tight!
