Hello,

I just wanted to know if people have tips for breaking through the quietness I get when I am stressed and going through heavy stuff like being sick. I try to use the things I learned but they seem to fall to the floor flat. I trust God and tell Him I am sorry for being so distant, and ask Him to come near, but then when I don't feel or sense Him I fall to pieces worse than I was before so many times I put off trying to hear Him because I can't handle the heartbreak. I know it's not Him, but I don't know what to do.

Be still and know Know that I am God! Be still of all thoights and emotions Till all we sence is God in our heart He is peace He is Joy He is Life He is our all in all. I experience this also so. So as I ponder this is what flows Back. Calvin Stewart

Thank you Calvin, that is so good!! Being Still, that is something I could use alot of, for some reason it is the hardest thing to do...but perhaps that is the blessing of this season, to learn to be still until all thoughts and emotions are only of God. Peace I have not know in a while, I have an affliction that docs seem to not be able to cure, but God will cure me I know. I have to believe in Him and not look into the eyes of fear, but the eyes of the Lover of My Soul.

Hi Ruth,

I have found that understanding the New Covenant helps me to have confidence that I am in His presence. The Blood of Jesus reconciled me to God and also birthed in me a New Creation. This New Creation or my "spirit man" loves to be with God and sees Him freely. So when I go to God, I go in My New Creation. My Sight in My spirit man is able to see into the spirit. It is another reality that my Natural mind does not understand yet is real for the Word of God tells me it is True.

So rather than trying to get my natural eyes to see God, I use my Spiritual eyes to see Him and they work! God gave them to me as a gift, as a part of my New Creation.

One thing that is true about my spirit man is that he is made of an imperisable seed, the Word of God. He does not get sick so he continues to rejoice in God even if my body is tired or ill. He is Christ in me. His Joy flourishes and is fed from the Father of Life, God Himself. As I gaze on God through my spirit, Life flows from the Spirit of God to my soul  and body and restores me.

I hope this is helpful,

peter

Thank you Peter, you are right because I know my spirit man is rejoicing and loving God. I love the last sentence, I am trying to memorize it, it is so life-giving!

HI Peter,

Absolutely awesome word! So encouraging. I copied it and saved on my computer to get back to it again and again. It spoke to my heart so much. Thank you for this amazing encouragement! God bless!

Sing....and make melody in your heart....sometimes we have to go on in faith for a long time but if we sing it helps

Oh Fran that is so good!! Your words encourage and uplift me, now that I can do, I can sing and make melody in my heart. :)

Beloved in Christ, accept greetings from me and brethren in this part of the universe (Cameroon). I can perceive that your heart is troubled and you are in a crisis situation of your life walk with the Lord. As I was reading in Saint John’s gospel chapters 14, 15, and 16, I came across some truths that are beneficial to your soul at this trying moment in your life. This is the night before the crucifixion of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. A night in which the disciples went to him at the hardest time in his life and they did not understand what was taking place and it seems to them like Jesus was defeated as far as his mission in the earth was concern. Jesus carefully took a look at his disciples and told them some of the most important things (truths) he couldn’t minister to them because it was already the trying time between the crucifixion and the resurrection. In ({John 16:1}- These things have I spoken unto you, that you should not be offended), he said ‘these things have I spoken unto you, that you should not be offended…’ and putting this together with mark chapter, you get offended when the devil steals the word of God out of your heart simply because you couldn’t understand what the word is saying to you in the middle of a crisis situation. So Jesus spoke these things to his disciples so that they wouldn’t be offended, Jesus spoke these things to his disciples so that the word would abide in them and they would rejoice in victory between the time of crucifixion until they see the physical man in the state of resurrection. And so these were critical things that Jesus was sharing with his disciples for the purpose of helping them to stand firm in the faith and not to panic and fall when tribulation comes. And as I pondered on the chapters of Saint John’s gospel listed above, do you know that troubled heart you bear at this moment in your life is the same experience I went through a few months ago that I am sharing with you? I have decided to introduce John chapters 14, 15, and 16 in this discussion forum as a remedy to anyone experiencing a crisis situation in our walk with the Lord.

I believe that Jesus was basically telling his disciples what to do when it looks like all hope is gone, you’re about to die; and nothing is working. So what do you do in a crisis situation? In John chapter sixteen, they (disciples) wouldn’t have been offended; they couldn’t have been in any crisis because the word of God was still working in them. In ({John 14:1}-Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me), he said ‘let not your heart be troubled…’ this is just powerful and it’s exactly the same thing I am ministering to you beloved in Christ. You might be in total panic because of the experience you are going through presently, your emotions are out of control, and you think you are running out of life before we met here in this forum. Remember the very first thing Jesus told his disciples in John chapter fourteen ‘let not your heart be troubled…’ This is really simple and yet I believe that most Christians totally miss this point in the course of life journey. Have you noticed that every Christian when they come into a crisis situation will allow their emotions to go wild? They get confused and in their unbelief they panic and do all kinds of things as a remedy for the crisis in which they find themselves? And then after all of these negative things have happened in their lives, they then go to the Lord and try to start seeking for the solutions to their emotions. But the very first thing that Jesus told his disciples is ‘let not your heart be troubled’. If you find yourself in a situation that is not convenient, you have to put yourself in the place of his disciples applying what he said to them in your own life. In other words Jesus is saying to you that ‘let not your heart be trouble’! This is something that most Christians don’t know or believe. You have the ability to control your emotions; you can choose how you want to be in life and in my estimation I believe that if you allow your emotions to run away out of you (go wild) and get out of control, It’s nearly impossible to put your emotions under the control of the Spirit once you let them get away. If you allow your emotions to run away, it will be impossible to control them because you have chosen to allow your emotions to take advantage of you. It’s easy to stop your emotions from running out of control than to stop them when they are already out of the control of the Spirit. I believe this is exactly what Jesus is saying here. The very first thing to do when crisis hit you is to get a hold of your emotions. When you indulge in anger or pain you can do anything unless you are really strong in the Lord, or you rush to a nearby neighbor to help you pray for you because you are out of control. It’s not going to work and unless you can control your emotions, and I don’t think you are going to see real success in a crisis situation…..

Dear Calvin, the verses you talk about when John was in prison and asking about the Christ, he must have been confused. I love to meditate upon that. I never realized the same effect for the disciples as well, they were about to seemingly lose everything, and Jesus lovingly tells them not to let their hearts be troubled. I take that deep into my spirit today and drink of this truth and command of my Jesus! I am guilty of letting fear run wild in me and yes out of control cannot feel God's presence or leading....you hit the nail on the head Calvin..for the essence of my post when my emotions (namely fear is the one) I cannot hear God and it is hard to get back.

Last night Lord came to me in grace and mercy and told me not to worry about tormorrow but only for today. I have said that verse so many times and read it, but when Lord spoke it to my heart I truly felt the Truth begin to take root. I will not let fear run away from me, I have my instructions from God and I will hang on tight. I love your contribution Calvin, it is the capstone to my marching orders~let not my heart be troubled..

Bless you friend you are a divine blessing for me today!! Thank you so much for your sharing. I am so thankful <3

Ruth

Thanks Ruth for the comment and I'm happy that this blessed the new creation man (Christ) dwelling in you. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matt. 5:8) and Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (Matt. 5:6). Be determine in the course you have chosen in your life walk with the Lord and for you to experience real success, satisfaction and fulfillment in Christ, use God's word to recreate your world of interaction. But without faith (spiritual law) it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). I will like to share more with you to strengthen your faith, so this discussion continue till when the Spirit says it's ok.....
