Thanks you so much for your comments, Patricia.

It sounds like  you are not concerned about obedience or forgiveness as the Lord has shown you that you are born of HIm and remain in Him therefore you cannot and do not sin.

I believe He has said the same thing to me about books

Hi Jennifer, welcome to our meeting place!  When I first came to Jesus, He gave me the scripture, "Come and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly of spirit."  As I searched the scriptures looking for truth as something to know, the Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit saying, "Stop looking for truth.  Look for Jesus."  What a difference that made in my searching for knowledge.  I no longer looked for anything but Him.  The scriptures became known to me as a continuing revelation of who Jesus really is, even to  the final revelation of His being the first and the last of the creation of God. He is the new creation God-man.  It is Jesus who is sinless.  He that commits sin is of the devil. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil.  Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed (Christ) remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.   (  1 John 3:  8,9)

But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him .  (1 John 2:27)  The Holy Spirit whispered to me to put aside my books about God and listen to Him.  He said "I am in you to teach you all things pertaining to Christ.  Why do you listen to man when man is seldom listening to hear Me. I don't give you knowledge or truth or wisdom or understanding  or righteousness  apart from who I AM."   This put me on the right track so to speak.  I learned to listen to God from my heart, not my intellect.  I learned to approach Him with an open heart and asked to learn of Him.Who shall instruct us?  We have the mind of Christ! He lives in us!  If we are looking for Him anywhere outside of our new born self, we will not move forward with Him into glory, into the full recognition of who He truly is.  We are to grown in the knowledge of God and in grace.  What hope is this!  Let Him be our only Hope!  May we all be blessed with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, even to Him being every member of His resurrection body, all and in all.

Hi Patricia, I've just become a member as of 20 hours ago.  You add clarity through the Holy Spirit as to what it means to be born again.  I wonder if you might ask the Holy Spirit how one deals with the old nature sinning.  I understand idealy that through the Holy Spirit one has great opportunity not to sin and I believe one's victory over sin is to consider one's old self dead to sin so I continually have hope and faith for that, however I have stumbled.  I read scriptures saying confess your sins to one another and even the Lord's prayer says to ask God for forgiveness.  But why would one ask for forgivness if the new man is not capable of sinning and does not sin.  Does one ask for forgiveness for at some moment in time not believing the old man has died therefore responds as if it it is alive and does something carnal verses through the Holy Spirit.  I will pray about this also and see if the Holy Spirit explains it to me the same way as He does to you.  It would help for confirmation as I'm very new at the idea of really hearing from the Holy Spirit.  I have been studying How To Hear God's voice.  HOwever, I have been meditating on and reading a number of books related to the teaching, ...not I but Christ in me for a number of years and it still is not totally clear.  I have also been reading a number of books and meditating on scriptures related to grace.  I believe once saved always saved but have struggled with obiedience and what that entails. Maybe I have been relying too much on my intellect verses really trying to hear from the LOrd.

I asked  our teacher the Holy Spirit,  in the name of Jesus Christ, what it means to be born again.  He replied as follows:  "The end has come upon all flesh.  All flesh shall see it altogether.  I rendered the first race man dead on the cross of My Son, Jesus Christ.  You were crucified with Him.  You were buried into His death in baptism.  I entered you as Father God, in the person of  My Son Jesus.  I gave you His life as your new born self.  Christ is the first and the last of the creation of God.  He replaced you with himself.  The lie is that you exist at all.  It is My Son Jesus Christ who is the second race man Adam.  You were raised with Him into incorruption, into immortality, into power, into newness of life, your were raised a spiritual body.  Christ Jesus is the whole of the new creation of God.  He is both head and every body member of Himself.  I the LORD your God seeded you with My Son.  It is He who lives, not you.  For you to live is Christ living.  Give place to God where you were and don't look back to separated self.  To be carnally minded is death, to be Christ minded is life and peace.  Hold fast to the truth of who I AM.  I have set you free to know God as your new born self.  Rejoice forevermore.  The LORD your God is one.  "

I've realized this is "community" not a group.  Some how I clicked the right area to request friendship with Ryan Powers who "created" this "community" in order to be able to communicate.  However, I'm not sure how I would become a "friend" with anyone else in the community.

I'm not sure if I am a member and I'm not sure how to get a friend from here (this wall).  I'm very unfamiliar with this whole process.

Tachen, you got it right...Paul said it, "reckon yourself dead"....but of course it is the old man that is the self that we are to see has been crucified with Christ.  Go Hoy Spirit, reveal to us what only you can reveal...the mystery that has been hidden from the foundations of this world.  Knowledge and revelation are very different things aren't they?
Peter Lovett Comment by Peter Lovett on September 25, 2011 at 6:33pm

Hi Tachen,

Self mortification is depressing! God's plan is Romans 8:13

" For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."

We are not able to save ourselves and neither are we able to mortify ourselves. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you about what needs to go. He will then do the cleansing. While He does this, He will impart to you His Life which will give you the ability to be Righteous.

We are to be a Living Sacrifice but this is more like a Blood transfusion where Christ's Blood flows through us now instead of our natural man blood. I am speaking spiritually not physically.

If we are able to do anything that Glorifies God it is by Letting Christ Flow in us, as we "die to our natural ways".

Many people think that they are all bad and God doesn't want any of them to come out. This is not true. It is the fallen, natural nature He wants to end.

If you can remove that by yourself, without Him then it would be your fallen nature doing it. This would cause boasting in your natural man.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith;

and that not of yourselves:

[it is] the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

(Ephesians 2:8-9)

God loves you so much Brother!

He wants you to be Free from the burden of sin and the condemnation of the Law.

This is what the New Covenant is all about.

The Old Covenant focused on what man couldn't do, the New Covenant focuses on what God has done in Christ.

Be released into this Gift and ask God for Revelation from the Mind of Christ as this is your inheritance.

Once you understand the foundation of this New Covenant, who is the person of the Word of God, Christ Himself, you will be able to build your house, the temple of God who you are.

When you have built this house and men see that in the storms, it does not fall, men will come and ask:

How is this you have Peace?

Pursue this Righteousness and God will use you to minister to others.
