Seeking God's direction, clarification, and occupation on new job change He said is coming to me this year!

Dear bros and sisters,

I am posting this so that you may ask God if He gives you any feedback or confirmation on the attached personal prophesy He gave me last summer. My wife, and three spiritual mentors in our church have confirmed this is the Lord. However, I find myself asking God for more specifics now and more revelation, but none seems to come beyond how much He loves me, and to trust Him. I have taken the old course "Dialogue with God", and audited "How to Hear God Voice" and am now watching the new DVDs with my wife at home. As you can see on my attached jounaling, God has taught me to receive and hear Him, yet I am struggling in the areas of vision (rarely get pictures) and I don't seem to get as clear a flow of thoughts as others from the class and on this web page. I get more like small sentences and fragments. There are those far and few inbetween times, where I get a flow of long sentences and specifics, but I have difficulty getting past the "small talk" with God on how much He loves me, on to other things.

Please pray and help as He leads you,
Thank you,

Brian Blanchard

P.S. He told me a job change is coming in the fall of 2010. Also my current career of over 11 years as an unregistered Architect looks not to promising, as my company may have to do a second round of lay-offs soon, so I am desperate to hear from Him! Also I have attached my journalling for you all to prayerfully read, and my resume/digital portfolio of artwork and marketing renderings. (When you open the resume/portfolio pdf you will find also a cover letter and application I sent to a ministry job I applied for but did not get the interview for).

Brian,
excellent resume and write up. Great work! You are doing fine. I do not recommend focusing on journaling for predictive guidance. I too get the same stuff as you when I go after predictive guidance. Journaling is for edification, exhortation and comfort (1 Cor. 14:3).

I suggest you use the Leaders Paradigm which is latter on in the How to Hear book. Use all 6 ways God speaks. What does you heart long to do. write out what would be a perfect job for you. Get your wife involved in this project. what does she feel is the next move. Lean heavily on her as your number one spiritual adviser. Honor her intuition. My wife's intuition is right.
brainstorm/heartstorm together. Explore possibilities. Go out and knock on doors and see which one opens. Honer spontaneous thoughts and spontaneous connections with people and places. God works through these. Read the chapter on Possessing your Promised Land in How to Hear God's Voice, and do those steps. Keep moving in your search as God can guide a moving boat.

Relax and trust Him. Keep a smile on your face. Keep laughing and He can and will move.
Thank you so much!
I wrote most of you all last summer the following short clip taken from a long journal entry:

On Sunday July 5th, 2009, while visiting my sister and her family in Colorado Springs , Colorado , I sat in my sister's church listening to the Holy Spirit.

Almost out of the blue he said "A job change is coming".  I said what was that? He said "A job change is coming in the fall of 2010".

Ok so fast forward, on Saturday evening September 11th, 2010 Anna (my wife) and I met with a Crown Money Map coach with Crown Financial Ministries to talk about and get help with our finances, because of drastic cuts my current employeer made to my salary and benefits in January 2009 until now.  During the end of this evening meeting on Sept 11th, the man with Crown Ministries, Bill Guidry, bascially gave me an informal interview with my wife for a job at his company.

September 25th, 2010 he calls and emails me and says "I am going to be adding to my staff.  We have an immediate opening.  Let me know if you are interested?"

So Tuesday September the 28th at 5:30pm I had an interview with him at his office near Jones and West road. The company's name is Global Maritime Soultions http://www.global-maritime.com/ .

Monday September 27th, my then employer, INsite Architecture announced they had to put everyone on 60% salary but still working a 40 hr/week, but that the two Principles would take 0% pay.  Then they would wait to get paid only a percentage once some clients pay INsite money they owe.  (The next pay period everyone there received zero pay for a month).

Anna and I and the kids could not live on that.  So I am very grateful this opportunity came I know, by God's hand.  Tuesday from 5:30 - 6:30pm I had the interview.  He told me he did not need to call my references because he knows my character.  So after a little negotiating of benefits he calls me back after Tuesday night at 7:15pm to offer me the job with a $4,000 increase from my INsite 100% gross yearly pay, plus other better medical benefits and incentives.

I was praising and thanking God for sure.  So I prayed briefly about it, talked to my wife and Dad, and felt confirmation from all that I should take it, so I did take the job offer on Tuesday night September 28th, only a few days into the FALL OF 2010, just like God said!!!  PTL!

I left INsite with an open door to come back, with Thursday September 30th, 2010 as my last day.  I started this new job on Monday October 4th, 2010!

God promises are Yes and Amen! Glory to God, what else can be said?!

God even caused me to survive a recent layoff here (2 weeks ago).  So please pray for more work for us here at Global Maritime Solutions!  :-)   http://www.global-maritime.com/ .

Sincerely,

Brian Blanchard
