Comment by Gloria on November 4, 2011 at 9:08pm It is serious business to have Jesus as Lord. At the same time we can remember that Jesus said Matt 11:29-30 "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy, and My load is light." Below is a picture if a yoke. I see me getting into this yoke with Jesus. When there is work to be done, Jesus, my gentle and humble Lord, is in there pulling right along side me with His awesome, supernatural strength.
Comment by Gloria on November 4, 2011 at 7:10pm Oh, oh! Sorry I missed this comment from you, Dennis.
You said: " ... if someone wants to do the will of God, does he/she expectected to take take some decisions reluctantly. Is God will very easy to accept as a child of God?"
I see the best example in Jesus to answer this. As He faced the crucifiction, He prayed: Luke 22:42 "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Thine be done."
The will of God Rom 12:2 "is good and acceptable and perfect", but not necessarily easy.

Thank you for contributing on the will of God in a believer's heart.Hurdles and challenges are difficult situations in form of trials and temptations These situations that can challenge you to deny the power of Christ in your life. These may be issues that challenge your faith in Christ as the son of God and redeemer of the world.
When satan lured you to sin, you have been defeated and you can be used by him as a slave for other sins, always stand for Jesus Christ at all times no matter all the promises of satan to you.Continue to yield your mortal body to Christ untill you become what He wants you to be in His presence- a holy nation, an apple in Gods eye..a chosen nation and righteous before God.

Comment by Jennifer Streeter on November 2, 2011 at 2:56pm I would tend to agree. But maybe it is because new converts are not befriended and closely decipled. Maybe new converts don't realize what they converted to. What I think is so unfortunate is that Satan operates within the church not only in the world and some new converts don't realize that, so they may turn to another Christian that is not established in the Word. ONe of the most helpful things I ever heard regarding trusting what another person teaches or says is if they bring you back to Jesus is the way. So I ask myself what are they saying about Jesus.
I was wondering what do you consider God's will? Could give me an example of a hurdle and/or challenge you have undergone.
I believe there is no way I (that is the my old nature can do God's will. It's Christ in me that does God's will.
Thank you for your comments to me.
What did/does Anthony have to say regarding your comments?
Comment by Archdeacon Dennis Onyekuru on November 2, 2011 at 2:29pm The world is programmed to fulfill the desires of the flesh. This is why many men and women are heading toward destruction today. To be frank with you, to do the will of God is not easy becuase one has to under go several hudles and challenges that may be discouraging to new converts.

Is this question and these comments the only thing that has been commented on in this group since January?
Comment by Gloria on January 25, 2011 at 1:13pm Sorry the first paragraph didn't display correctly. It should read:

Comment by Gloria on January 25, 2011 at 1:04pm Hello Dennis!
As Christians, we experience conflict when we have influence from "the flesh" and "the spirit". We can choose to "walk by the spirit"
Galatians 5:16-17
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another ……
The Spirit loves and wants the will of God. The flesh wants its own will and opposes God's will. As we learn to recognize and walk by the Spirit, we learn to recognize the will of God. Knowing God's word [the Bible] trains us to recognize the will of God.
Rom 12:1-2
I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. NAS
"The flesh" and "the world" are often in agreement. Our mind has been programmed with many errors. But as we read and meditate God's word [the Bible], out mind gets "renewing".
My understanding of Romans 12:1-2, is that as my mind is renewed, I can be living proof that the will of God is "good and acceptable and perfect".
Blessings to you!
