Whispers

Desiring to hear the gentle whispers. To encourage movement in hearts towards God and people. My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” Psalm 27:8

The Secret Chamber of God's Heart 2 Replies

Today, when I worshiped I saw a vision of a wooden door into a tunnel on a side. It was sort of hidden but it drew me like a magnet and the closer I came to that door the smaller it was. The…Continue

Lori Dethels, Thank you for your help. I just seem to do better at pictures and then hear a word or a verse. I'm sure I'll learn to hear more as you mentioned how. My latest I want to share is a time with Jesus and I asked Him to touch me with healing. Next I saw a picture of a new me and hear 2 C 5:17. I laimed it and thanked God for it. Two weeks later, I heared who to go to and am much better. Planning to have several sessions (an accupuncturist-a Christian.) Isn't that awesome?? God Bless, Carol

Carol, Oh, and a great book that came to mind, a favorite of mine on the spiritual disciplines is CELEBRATIONS OF DISCIPLINE by Richard Foster. This is a great book that describes ways to enter into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God through the spiritual disciplines. These disciplines are not about legalism, but about building patterns, or what I like to call roadmaps to help us move in relationship with him. Like banks of a river, they help to guide us in His presence.

Carol,
Hi, it is so good to hear from you. Do you have Mark's materials on How to Hear God's voice? I found for me, the best way to develop this is to practice, especially stillness. The Word says, to be still and know that I am God - Psalm 46:10, and in Psalm 27:8, the Word says that the Lord is beckoning us to come and talk with him. I found for me, it is carving out time in my day, each day to have a date with the Lord, time with him, where I am being still and listening. Often in my prayer life I will do most of the talking. I find when I just come, and allow Him to love me, and talk to me - he does talk. It is always good too, to have someone test what you are hearing to encourage you and to test what you are hearing is God. Setting aside time on my calendar each day and each week for silence and solitude has helped me tremendously. Lots of love, Lori

Hi, I'm new in being able to hear God. So far it has been 3 brief visions with with brief words following immediately. It is so awesome to know God this way. Also He gave me a more intimate way to address Him, helping me feel closer and to know how He cares and provides. How do I develop this to more?
