He's Forever Committed

This morning I flipped open an old journal and found a conversation the Holy Spirit and I shared concerning my journey to healing. Although the conversation took place more than two years ago, it was as fresh to me as the first time.***************Me: What have You said to me about my healing?Holy Spirit: "I will restore your health and heal your wounds." (Jeremiah 30:17)HS: "Do you know what My place is?...It is alongside you! I am forever committed to you. It's a forever relationship. I…See More

"This has been on my mind too, especially since I heard a speaker (I believe it was Mark Walker) define stewardship in one simple term = increase. It started the ball rolling to change my thinking on this subject. When we look at the parable about…"

Until We're Set Free

"Inevery block of marble I see a statue as plain as though it stood before me, shaped and perfect in attitude and action. I have only to hew away the rough walls that imprison the lovely apparition to reveal it to the other eyes as mine see it." ~ MichelangeloSomeone once asked the great artist/sculptor -- howdid he know what to carve away from the block of stone he was working on? Michelangelo replied, "I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."I marvelto think that those…See More

All Glorious Within

The other day, the enemy came with his ridiculing remark, "Who do you think you are?"Before a second or two had passed, up from within me rose the words, "I'm the daughter of the King."With that triumphant declaration ringing in my ear -- and his -- he slunk away for we both knew'That dog don't hunt no more around here.'' The awesomeness of this? It wouldn't have been even so very long ago that I would have listenedawhile before gathering up the resources to resist that ridiculous accusation.…See More

A little bit About Myself, and Why I'm Here
I love God; I love beauty; I love people -- especially my wonderful husband! I get great pleasure from reading, writing, giving gifts, blogging and kitty cats, not to mention sunny winter days and summery twilight evenings. Good heart conversations over coffee. Children laughing and happy dogs out for their walks. Soft rainy days and robins in the spring.

My relationship with God has been the key relationship of my life for close to four decades. Ever since I met Him as a young teen, I've longed to really know Him and experience Him in deep friendship and intimacy. Though my friendship with Him has grown over the years, there was a lot of religion to slog through first. It wasn't until I started journaling and hearing his voice more clearly in the last 10 or so years that my heart's longing for Him in a really personal way has blossomed into living reality.

Now I long to help other people find that place too.
