I recently moved on from a church believing I had clear direction to do so. One of the elders also left, and many others. I am now attending a home church. In my dream I intended to go to the home…Continue

Leading Followers

Have you been called into a position of leadership? Remember that leaders are also followers, and teachers are also students. I encountered a Centurion who understood this when he told me that he was a man under authority rather than telling me how many men he had under him. If this principle is true in the realms of the military, commerce, and academics, then how much more is it true in my body in which each of my children from the least to the greatest has an individual direct relationship…See More

old friends

When people ask you how you are doing, do you tell them that you are doing well even when you are not? Is this partly because you don’t want to bother them with your troubles and partly because you suspect they really aren’t that interested? New friends will accept your answer, but old friends will dig deeper to find out what is wrong. If you perceive that the interest and intent are genuine you should tell them. They are only able to help insofar as they know the problem. I already know what…See More

The Heavens

The heavens declare my goodness and my glory. Do you see my handiwork there? Consider the North Star. It is fairly bright, perfectly positioned, and there are no other bright stars nearby. Any child can be taught to find it from prominent reference marks. It has been used by navigators throughout history to find their way as they travelled. Do you see how unlikely it is for all these things to occur simultaneously by random processes? Yet this did not occur by chance. I put Polaris there…See More

transformation

Do you think of your faith as life-enhancing, something that will make it better? This is an insufficient faith. It assumes that you start with a good life that would benefit from improvement. The promise of the gospel is more radical than this. It offers transformation. Not an improvement, but a total change. If you live in an affluent culture with many opportunities for self-improvement then the need for transformation may not be obvious, but the same issue was relevant in my own time. Do not…See More

Simple honesty

Have you ever encountered something that was presented as being true, yet as you heard the whole story it was obvious that it was not? Did you find the false claims of validity annoying? It would have been better for the story to be presented with no claims, and left you free to decide for yourself. In the end this is what you will do anyhow. In my word I tell you not to swear at all as a means of enhancing your credibility, but to let your yes be yes and your no be no. It is evil to add more.…See More

expect the best

Do you look at your life and see a continuous stream of unlikely events that are favorable to you? If you do not see this then you are not paying attention for I am constantly at work on your behalf, intervening to bring about my will in your life and perfecting that which concerns you. If you are aware of this then do you expect it and feel guilty for doing so? You should not feel guilty, for to expect it is not the same as taking it for granted. Expecting it is an acknowledgment of my…See More

Knowing his voice

How much confidence do you have in hearing my voice? Are you familiar with the passage in which I declare that I am the good shepherd? Do you remember that it says my sheep hear my voice? Yet a careful reading reveals that it also says my sheep know my voice. I speak to one and all. How many recognize that I am speaking to them? Yet my sheep have this promise. You are in need of daily guidance, and you hear a multitude of voices. How can you discern the voice of the good shepherd to follow and…See More

like what you do

Do you work because you want to or because you have to? Most people have a component of economic necessity to their occupation. Those who do not are said to be independently wealthy. Yet the choice is not limited to one or the other. It can be both. Blessed are those who enjoy their work whether they feel they have a choice or not. You are bought with a price and you are not your own because you are my servant. Servants are not able to choose their assignments, but a wise and loving master will…See More

Shaken

Have you ever had the familiar structures of your life stripped away? Most people develop some sort of routine involving their family, friends, church, job, and community. They grow to depend on these landmarks in life. Yet they can be lost in a moment. You do not seek to experience this, but I have told you in advance that everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and that everything will be tried by fire and combustible things will be burned up. What do you find when this happens? If I am…See More

A little bit About Myself, and Why I'm Here
My name is Dale Cresap and I have attended New Life Assembly of God in Idaho Falls for 23 years. I hold no office or title, but I hear from Jesus as he said that his sheep would hear his voice. What he tells me I write down and send on to a mailing list of about 150 people. These messages are of a general nature to encourage believers and illuminate and expound biblical principles, not to provide specific guidance for individuals.

sojourner

Do you think of places as being physical locations only? I tell you there are spiritual places as well. I called Abraham to go without telling him the destination. Travel was a part of the process, but the destination was more about being the father of many nations than about a place on the map. I am also taking you on a journey even if you remain in one place. I am transforming you into my likeness. This can occur without your movement, but it is beneficial for you to have the mentality of…

Bad Day?

Have you ever had a day when everything went wrong, bringing woe upon woe and sorrow upon sorrow until you thought that the only redeeming feature was that it eventually be over? Do not lose heart. I did not desert you at this time, even if you were not aware of my presence. In the beginning I divided time and punctuated days with nights that you may take them in increments. Don’t worry about tomorrow before it arrives or yesterday when it is gone. Honor me by conforming to the structure of…

Hello Dale,

My name is George Anamolga. I am a new member of Koinonia network and as I was scanning through the writings of other members I fortunately came accross your Daily words which struck me so positively that I think I should stop by and read them daily.
Thanks for the good work you are doing. They blend well in my heart.
This is indeed great stuff!!!

Hi Dale

Your daily words are very powerful and encouraging. I am just reading John Bevere's book - Eternity - and God seems to be speaking similar words to you. It is wonderful when He brings confirmation from different sources, isn't it...

Blessings - Judi

I am new here. I started using the workbook "Hearing God's Voice" after receiveing prayer ministry back in March of this year. The prayer minister felt strongly impressed that I have been hearing God's voice for a very long time, and that I needed to come to a better understanding of my gifts. It was also felt that I should become a part of an inner healing ministry. I can honestly say that nothing as ever felt so "right" in all of my life. I have been receiving e-mails from Mark Virkler's ministry for some time, but had never noticed this site. When I first came here this morning, I started reading your blog posts, and the hair on my arms stood up...I knew you were hearing God's voice! Thank you for sharing what you hear. I look forward to reading more of what God has to say via your fingers on the keyboard! Be encouraged! Blessings, Lisa

Thank you Dale. If no one invites me as a friend I quess I'll have none. I mean it is probably a small thing to do but I don't know how to invite anyone. Maybe just too tired most of the time to focus--I don't know.

Your Blogs are so wonderful and I look forward to reading them. I will check them every so often to see what you are talking about. You know , " Whata ya talking about!! "
Just playing around Dale. Later! Love, Amber
