George, I found this email from you and it looks like I did not respond. Sorry about the delay.
George, you have shown great wisdom regarding the vision of your hand being God's hand. Go to Him first for an answer! This also applies to dreams. He knows what He wants to communicate to you. People have written books about the meaning of different elements of a dream based on their own experiences or Bible references. So far, our Lord has kept me from using these guides. He just wants me to come to Him.
Regarding prayer for the healing of others, I would encourage you to do as Jesus did. He did nothing unless He heard and/or saw His Father tell Him what to do. So before praying for someone, quickly ask Jesus what He wants you to do in this situation. When we do this and the person gets healed, then God gets the glory. Following this approach is also a great faith builder, for some of those we pray for are not healed due to unbelief and other reasons that our Lord knows and we don't.
