K.Santosh Maruthappa Raj replied to the discussion 'a prayer for confirmation'Brother Raj, I enjoyed reading your page. I want to challenge you to rethink your giftings. If indeed you have been baptised of the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, consider this: that within the Holy Spirit resides all the gifts. He can, in a moment, bring any of the gifts to the surface for your use, as needed. It is indeed all in Him, He is in you, therefore the all the gifts reside within you, only to be manifest or used as needed and for His purposes. Just a thought for your consideration. Grow strong in the Lord, my young brother, you are to be mighty in Him! God bless you.

Mick Alexander said… Hello there,
No trouble, it is good to debate.
All of the Apostles, except John, died before their natural time. If they lived as long as John did then they would have died of old age (sickness) just like he did. All of us will die from some sickness of body unless we die of unnatural causes.
Regarding the devil, you forget that he is the prince of this world. 1John 5:19 tells us that, "the whole world is under the control of the evil one." Satan still has enormous power and uses it against Christians to oppress them whenever he can. Don't believe that the devil is finished, that will come later.
Jesus did heal all but there is nothing in scripture to say that all Christians will be healed. If it was so then we would not die, it's as simple as that.
God bless,
Mick

Leonidas Cacaras said… Hi Brother... thanks for welcoming me to this site. My apologies for not having responded to you sooner but I haven't been on since August. And I'm new to this site, so I'm trying to figure out how it works. You asked me about my testimony. Here is a summary: Jesus started speaking to me (via the thoughts of my heart) when I was about 11 years old and living in Athens, Greece. After I while, the devil convinced me that I was going crazy so I closed the ears of my heart to the Lord's voice. I wasn't saved yet. However, the Lord pursued me over the next few years. Every once in a while I would run into born-again Christians or the Lord would work in my life to help me. Until after I finished university, a battle was ragging in my soul between good and evil. That's the best way I can describe it. I was constantly thinking about God and about "saving" the world back in those days - until the time when I reasoned that I could never find the truth and I could never find anyone who would lead me to the truth. So, I couldn't take this battle any longer and I decided to bury all this "God stuff" as deep in my mind as I could. Then I decided to live for the flesh, for as Paul says "If Christ isn't resurected from the dead then we should eat and drink for tomorrow we die". However, the Lord kept on pursuing me and kept on sending godly people in my life. So, this whole "God thing" resurfaced, to my surprise, when I had children. What was I going to tell my kids? What was the meaning of life? So I started seeking again, not necessarily for God (because I had essentially written Him off) but I was seeking the truth. Of course, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life - so I was realling seeking Him. One night when my wife and kids were visiting my wife's parents in Europe, I was back in Canada alone, so I decided to rent a movie from a secular TV channel. Well, that movie was a true story about a South African farmer and evangelist named Angus Buchan and the movie was called "Faith Like Potatoes". At the end of the movie I was on my knees asking God for the faith that this farmer had and pleading for God to come into my life. Immediately after this I went to the Internet to do research on this fellow and I found both good and bad things written about him. So again, as many times before, I was left wondering what the truth was. I was frustrated and couldn't take it anymore, so I got on my knees (2 am in the morning) and prayed a half angry prayer with tears in my eyes: "Jesus, if you are real then please show me. But if you don't then this is it... this is the last straw and you can forget about me forever". Six hours after that prayer a couple of young ladies knocked on my door and the first thing they asked me was "do you know Jesus"... to which I started laughing hysterically. I told them the story and they were in utter amazement. Anyway... that's part of my testimony. Ever since, the Lord has been working in my life - although it hasn't bee always easy and I have suffered through moments/hours/days of unbelief. But after ever one of those crises of faith I have walked through the fire stronger than before. Praise and Glory be to the One, living God, Christ Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit... Amen!

Kristi Davis said… Thank you. I am having a hard time figuring out this new network and do not have much time these days to get on and figure it all out. I very much appreciate your comment to me and sorry I have not gotten back on until now.
I have not heard of Dani Johnson, but I will look into her books. Thank your for the recommendation. I hope to find the time to start writing again. This looks like a safe place to do that. Blessings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
