Lori Dethels, Thank you for your help. I just seem to do better at pictures and then hear a word or a verse. I'm sure I'll learn to hear more as you mentioned how. My latest I want to share is a time with Jesus and I asked Him to touch me…

Hi Amy, I just saw your posting today, forgive me for the delay in getting back to you. I did not get an email noting there was a posting. For me, I find that inner stillness is the real battle. Usually, what I have to do, is to talk to the Lord…

Carol, Oh, and a great book that came to mind, a favorite of mine on the spiritual disciplines is CELEBRATIONS OF DISCIPLINE by Richard Foster. This is a great book that describes ways to enter into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God…

Carol, Hi, it is so good to hear from you. Do you have Mark's materials on How to Hear God's voice? I found for me, the best way to develop this is to practice, especially stillness. The Word says, to be still and know that I am God -…

Hi, I'm new in being able to hear God. So far it has been 3 brief visions with with brief words following immediately. It is so awesome to know God this way. Also He gave me a more intimate way to address Him, helping me feel closer and to know…

A little bit About Myself, and Why I'm Here
I am not a theologian; nor Bible scholar. I am one simple heart who wants to know God and to make Him known. To represent Him well to others. To live well and to love well.

Yet, I fail myself forward in the most astonishing arms of grace. Oh grace. If you have been around people who permeate grace; you know the brilliant taste of it.

The world is tired of religion and religious systems. The world wants the real Jesus. I want the real Jesus. I don’t want a painted image of one, nor a carved one on a cross. I want a Jesus who is alive. I want a Jesus who is living His life for others. A Jesus who is spurring His children to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. To be His witnesses in their region, their state, their nations, their world. (Acts 1:8). I want to see God’s church making an impact as it did in the book of Acts; yet greater.

Jesus did not give up His life for anything less. He gave it up for you and for I. For all of mankind. He came to seek and save those which are lost. And He yearns to connect and walk intimately with His creation. Us.

The more I explore the heart and nature of God, the more fascinated I am with Him. Jesus is the most amazing treasure to behold and to love. Nothing compares to the priceless gain of knowing HIM. Nothing else compares to getting to know Him and then seeing others experience the same thing. (Philippians 3:7-11).

Look forward to connecting on the Koinonia Network with you,

In Your Heart For Others

I have been listening to one specific sermon a lot these last few months: http://www.baysideonline.com/2745/20090628/

One statement the pastor made in this sermon has been rolling around in my heart since then.

I have chewed on it, pondered it, and asked the Lord tons about it.

In the book of Nehemiah, God had given Nehemiah a burden to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem. The wall had been destroyed and… Continue

Mercy Triumphs!

Today, the Lord reminded me of a moment in time when he did an alignment in my heart. He is always doing alignments. This one, however, was on my heart today.

About 8 years ago, I was working in a church, in a very affluent community. Granite Bay, CA. I remember one time, I was visiting the home of a woman who lived in a $ 2 million dollar home. I remember leaving that day, and I was complaining to the Lord about her clothes, her life style, and about her home. I remember talking to… Continue

Permeating Grace

Last night, I visited a Young Adults service over at Bridgeway Christian Church in Rocklin, CA. My friend’s husband (a young gal I mentored while she was in high school) was leading worship, and they invited me to come and visit - yes, even though I am 43 years old... I went.

I had the most amazing time from the moment I walked in. My friend greeted me with a huge hug and everyone was very kind and friendly. The worship started and immediately God began to move in my heart. Tears… Continue
