- A little bit About Myself, and Why I'm Here
- My wife, Rhonda, and I have been working in full-time ministry for 20 years. We started out in 1990 planting churches in Mexico and then continued this work among the Quechuas of Bolivia until 1997. From 1997-2001, we served as a professor and developed the missions track at Gulf States Bible College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From 2001-2007, we worked as the International Coordinators for Good Shepherd Ministries. During this time, we assisted ministries in 141 countries to develop video-based local church Bible schools in over 60 languages, serving over 200,000 students. In Nov 2007, we left that position and moved to India to train leaders. God gave us a prophetic promise that everything we had been learning to that point was to prepare us for this new season in India. He also said that our fruitfulness would "go through the roof!" We were given a two-prong approach to accomplish a mass multiplication of leaders. First, we have continued providing local church pastors with the video curriculum we worked with previously at Good Shepherd Ministries (incredible material - see www.isom.org). We also felt that it was essential for the national leaders God had raised up within the Indian church to have the opportunity to teach their people on a broader scale. To accomplish this, we have set up a professional video studio in India and are recording these leaders in order that their messages might be heard throughout India as well as the world. Our relationship with Dr. Mark Virkler goes back to 1980, when we first learned to journal through his seminar at our local church. Early in 2009, God spoke to my heart that we should record Dr. Mark teaching the six primary courses that God has given him. In a two week period starting Nov 23, he came to our studio in India for a marathon time of recording. All his material was recorded with a live Hindi translator in a bilingual format. In this way, we would be able to easily record other languages over the original translator's voice. Our purpose is get these messages into the 141 nations we have been working with for the past 8 years. God spoke to Dr Mark 30 years ago that the Communion with God message would be taken to the entire world. We are excited to be a part of bringing this to pass!!
