Do you ever feel superior when you see others struggling with character issues that are not a problem for you or churches struggling with doctrines that you have correctly resolved? Instead you should ask how I feel about them. For I love them and take no pleasure in seeing them stagger in the darkness. Your calling is to follow me, to be transformed into my likeness as my character is formed in you. An essential part of this process is that you learn to respond to any situation the same way that I would. Do and teach my commandments, rejoice when I rejoice, and grieve when I grieve, and my light will shine from within you.
