My word tells you that if anyone would not work, neither should they eat. Obviously this is not meant to apply to those who are too infirm to be able; your regard for life would not allow you to starve them. Yet otherwise it is a general rule. Your culture considers some types of work as worth payment and others as not, but this verse is not about money. It is about the value of service. For I have called all of my followers to a life of service, that they may follow my example. Do not think of this as a harsh economic reality, but as a reminder of the value of serving me by serving your fellow man.
