Athletic teams prefer to play on their own ground to have the home court advantage. This gives them familiar surroundings and a crowd that is on their side. Yet my people are strangers and sojourners in this world, for they are not of this world. Even as the Son of Man had no place to lay his head, believers cannot expect the sympathy, support and understanding of those around them regarding the things of the Kingdom. Yet that does not mean that they are forsaken and bereft. For you are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who cheer you on as you run the race set before you. Ask me to open your spiritual eyes as the servant of the prophet of old to see that those who be for you are more than those who be against you.
