It's important to remember some things about dream interpretation...
-Are we using our gift, or relying on the Holy Spirit and speaking what he gives us?
-Are we using our intellect, or someone else's intellect, rather than hearing from the Holy Spirit?
-Are we using Biblical methods of dream interpretation, or something else?
Keep in mind that while the enemy cannot give revelation, he does have access to information. Here's an example: A woman went to a psychic, who told her that she would be getting a big check in the mail. The woman indeed did get a big check in the mail. Here is how it works: The enemy has a demonic network. A demon sees the check being written and put in the mail. This demon communicates this information to the demons that this psychic works with. The demon tells the psychic, the psychic tells the woman, what has ALREADY HAPPENED. They cannot actually predict the future. It is a deception.
We need to be very, very careful about how we are interpreting dreams for people. Make sure we are in right relationship to the Lord, submitted to the Holy Spirit and hearing from him. And whenever someone gives you an interpretation, always, ALWAYS pray and ask the Lord about it. Even if the person is supposedly a believer, ask him for confirmation. Any interpretation should ALWAYS bear witness in your spirit right away, if not soon after. If someone insists that their interpretation is right even if it doesn't bear witness with you, or becomes condemning, or gives you a condemning interpretation--IT'S NOT GOD!!! Even when God points out in our dreams that there is something we need to deal with, it is always in love and to get us to the next place he wants to take us. At the same time, we can be relying on our own brain or someone else's teaching and get it all wrong, even if we're doing it in love. Again, always pray.
Blessings,
Lisa
