Are you alarmed by times of economic crisis? These are widespread and painfully obvious, but they start in a way that is subtle and unobserved. They start as a crisis of faith and values. When people lose a sense of identity and the things that really matter, they will give undue influence to other things and accumulate status symbols and indulge themselves on the ill-advised use of credit. There will never be enough stuff to satisfy those who don’t know what they are looking for, but the bills still come due. Do not despair but return unto me and find your identity in me, and I will restore what the devourer has taken.
