The beauty of the Lord

One thing have I desired of the Lord, to behold the beauty of the Lord. Your culture has a strong but distorted sense of beauty. The dominance of romantic notions makes it difficult for you to understand spiritual beauty, and men in particular are awkward about acknowledging my beauty. I had no form or comeliness that men should desire me, but there is a spiritual beauty that transcends physical beauty. In this manner I am attractive beyond comprehension and those who know this by faith will seek me and look to me will be rewarded and will be transformed into my likeness.
